| The Brunei Japan Friendship Association (BJFA) is an organization of the objective of promoting and enchancing economic, technical, cultural, and educational cooperation between Brunei and Japan. It is reciprocal organization to the Japan Brunei Friendship Association based in Tokyo,Japan, and was formally registered as a society under the societies Act on 28 November 1998. |

| The BJFA was initiated by His Excellency Pg Setia Negara Pg Hj Yusof Bin Pg Hj Abd Rahim, the former Brunei Ambassador to Malaysia; His Excellency Mr Masao Kawai,the former Japanese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam: and Dato Paduka Hj Hamdillah H.A Wahab,Chief Executive of Brunei LNG Sendirian Berhad. A Pro-Team Committee heade by Dato Paduka Hj Hamdillah has been formed to support the initial stages of the BJFA’s existence. |

| The committee comprises representatives from the Brunei Government, the Japanese Embassy in Brunei ,Brunei LNG Sdn Bhd.and other voluntary members. |
